These Pride SVG files are part of our Awareness SVG category, where we organize all inclusive-themed designs in one place. This category includes a wide range of bold, inclusive, and colorful SVG files created for festival gear, community signage, and inclusive stationery.
Select all the layers of the same color and use the Attach tool in your software. This holds their position relative to the rest of the design on the cutting mat. If you want to move the entire rainbow as one unit while maintaining the layout of all colors, select the entire heart and use the Group function before resizing.
Use a plastic scraper to gently remove large leftover bits of vinyl. For smaller fibers or glitter residue, a standard lint roller works wonders to pick up debris without damaging the adhesive. If the mat is still losing its grip, a quick wipe with a baby wipe will refresh the surface; just ensure it is completely dry before your next project.
Open the design in your software and look for the “Simplify” or “Warp” tool under the path settings. Reducing the number of nodes (the little points that make up the line) will create a smoother path for your blade to follow. This is especially helpful for the “drips,” as it prevents the machine from making micro-stutters that can lead to jagged edges.
When layering Heat Transfer Vinyl (HTV), press the bottom layers for only 2-3 seconds—just enough to get them to stick so you can peel the carrier sheet. Repeat this for each color. Once the final top layer is in place, do a full press at 305°F for 15 seconds. This prevents the bottom layers from shrinking or burning due to excessive heat exposure.
Ensure you are using the SVG file format rather than the PNG. The PNG is a raster image made of pixels which will blur when scaled up. The SVG is a vector file, meaning it is mathematically calculated. You can scale the butterfly to the size of a billboard and it will remain perfectly crisp with sharp, clean lines for your cutting machine.
